George Clooney and Don Cheadle receive Summit Peace Award

For the last five years, TheCommunity.com has been a partner in the annual Summit Meeting of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome, produced by Walter Veltroni, Mayor of Rome, and former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev.

In 2007 TheCommunity.com brought actors George Clooney and Don Cheadle to the Summit to receive the Summit Peace Award.

Nobel Laureates issue Charter for a World Without Violence

"No state or individual can be secure in an insecure world. The values of nonviolence in intention, thought, and practice have grown from an option to a necessity."

In December 2007 the World Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates released the Charter for a World Without Violence, a document three years in the making.

Our Youth Ambassadors in Rome

Youth Ambassadors from TheCommunity.com were on hand in Rome to interview the Nobel Laureates and celebrities.
